      Giving Back

      Why We Give

A core mission of Waypoints Equity, LLC is to give back to the community. We are better together and along this journey we strive to make the community stronger. Waypoints pledges to give back 10% of all net profits to non-profit organizations that support veterans, underprivileged students and that address the national mental health crisis.

      PROJECTS WE SUPPORT

      Veterans Community Project

In January 2019 the Department of Veterans Affairs counted 37,085 Veterans experiencing homelessness. The good news is, in the last decade, the number has gone down. The bad news is the number is not Zero. We have an opportunity to make a difference in the lives of those who swore an oath, for us, and are now experiencing homelessness.

In 2020-2021, Waypoints Equity founder, Josi Heron, alongside her family, friends and colleagues sponsored a tiny home in the Veterans Community Project’s new location in Longmont Colorado. This venture raised $35,000 for one of 26 tiny homes to be constructed in the spring of 2021. The community to be built will support veterans in need of support and services while finding stability, community and transitioning from homelessness. During construction of the tiny home, the Waypoints team will form groups of volunteers to come out and build the home.
